The Metropolitan Distict is sponsoring a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, August 16, Henry James Memorial School, 155 Firetown Road. Simsbury. 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.  Residents from Avon may participate in this and other MDC Sponsored Collection Days.  For more information on what materials can be brought to the collection or a list of the dates for the rest of the year, please see the list provided by Avon Public Works.
